Rumple, Jethro

Jethro Rumple was graduated from Davidson College in 1850. He attended Columbia Theological Seminary and served as a pastor in North Carolina. He later became the Director of Union Theological Seminary and was an assistant editor of the Presbyterian Encyclopedia. A Trustee of Davidson College from 1858 to 1905, Rumple also served as Treasurer of the College from 1876 to 1879 and Secretary of the Board from 1878 to 1905.
